Antonio Copeland, Sr.

Antonio (Tony) M. Copeland Sr., age 46, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. Born in Erie, PA on November 22, 1976, he was the eldest son of Elsie Copeland and the late Willie Joe Arrington. 

Tony graduated from East High School and worked at UPMC Hamot for over 22 years. Tony enjoyed cooking, video games, reading, movies, bowling, wrestling, music, poetry, traveling and going to the casinos. He was very caring, encouraging, and liked making people laugh with his jokes. He was baptized at an early age. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gertrude Nichols Copeland and Samuel Copeland Sr, Rachel and Lee Arrington. 

He is survived by his children, Maya L. Copeland and Antonio Montrell Copeland Jr. and Granddaughter, Telana Copeland. His brother, David Copeland and sisters Tabitha Crosby, Latrice Copeland, Brianne Anderson, and Kiara Copeland. And his long-time loving partner Rachel Welch. He is furthered survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. 

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc. 602 W. 10^th St., Erie on Friday December 9, 2022 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in Erie Cemetery.
