Anthony S. Crolli age 92, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born in Lowellville, Ohio on December 15, 1923, a son of the late Pasquale and Madeline Vaccarello Crolli.
Anthony attended Academy and Strong Vincent High School. Anthony served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII, stationed in the European Theatre of Operations and participating in the Battle of the Budge.
He worked as a Forman at Erie Ceramic Arts for many years.
Anthony enjoyed golf, gardening, and fishing and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Freda Mary Gutteridge Crolli; a daughter, Madeline (John) Wingerter of Erie; three grandsons, John (Stacy) Wingerter of Erie, Jeffrey Wingerter of Erie and Jay (Liz) Wingerter of Pittsburgh; four great grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Alyssa, and Paige; one step great grandchild, Brandon; a brother Armand Crolli; and two sisters, Katherine Crolli of Erie and Rose Ruzzini of Buffalo.
Services by the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, were private at the convenience of the family, with burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
