Mother Annie B. Jells, age 97, of Erie went from labor to reward Monday, November 30, 2014. Born in Alport Arkansas_ on May 15, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Idella Battles Lewis.

Mother Annie B. Jells was appointed Church Mother of the Greater Calvary Full Gospel Church by Bishop Jesse N. Gavin’ She was a homemaker who loved the Lord and served Him with all of her might. She loved to cook and sew. She was an avid gardener always saying ”everything is better from the earth”.

In addition to her parents Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Othor Jells, Sr.; a son, Ernest Jells; a daughter, Ella Mary Moore two sisters, Ruthie Mae Jennings and Ernestine Cunningham; and three brothers, Ernest, Harry, Charles Lewis,

She is survived by her children, Ocie Williams, of Erie, Othor (Sylvia) Jells, Jr. of Columbus, OH, Ludella (Charles) Harris Woodard, Dora Jells and Jearlean Rowry Parker, of Erie. She had 22 grandchildren and a host of Great and Great Grandchildren that will honor her legacy.

Friends may call at the Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church 2624 German Street on Monday from 10am until the time of services at 12 Noon with Bishop Jesse Gavin officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street.
