Anne F. Wyneken age 95, of Erie died on Monday, October 31, 2022, one day shy of her 96th birthday.
She was born in Erie on November 1st, 1926, a daughter of the late Frank M. and Hilda Turner Wyneken.
Anne graduated from Strong Vincent High School, Class of 1944. She worked as a secretary for several local companies, including American Meter from where she retired.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant. There she was a Choir Member and Bell Ringer, a Deacon, a member of the Unicorns, Prime Timers and the Supper Club. Anne stayed very busy with her memberships to Mercy Center for Women, Woman’s Club of Erie, Presque Isle Chapter of Professional Secretaries International (PSI), the National Wildlife Federation, the Christian Women’s Association, the American Meter Retirees, the Erie Philharmonic, the Erie Playhouse, the American Business Women, the Sarah A. Reed Fund Raisers and the Asbury Seniors.
She is survived by her sister Margaret “Peg” Budny of Erie; her nephews, Greg Budny and wife Kris of Erie and Mark Budny of Apex, NC; her nieces, Ann Bahri and husband Jay Perlberg of North Port, FL, Carolyn Goetz of Barefoot Bay, FL and Sue Griffith and husband Jim of Erie and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff at Sarah Reed Senior Living, who took care of Anne for the past 14 years.
