Anna Lucille Post Vommero (Lucy)

Anna (Lucy) Vommero, age 91 of Erie, passed away December 8, 2024. She was born on August 1, 1933, in Union City, daughter of the late Manley and Eulabelle (Anthony) Post. 

Lucy graduated from East High School in 1951. She had worked at Erie Insurance while attending high school until her retirement in 2006.

She enjoyed baking, reading, puzzle books, western movies and sewing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandsons. 

In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Vommero (1-11-2008); brother, William M. Post (6-13-2018); sisters, D. Charlene Clark (2-13-1987) and Carol Walls (1-23-2012); and brother-in law, Charles Walls (2-26-2020).

Lucy is survived by her three daughters, Robin Sedor (John), Heidi Ford (Michael), and Darcie Vommero; sister-in-law, Anne Post; brother-in-law, Michael Clark; four grandchildren, Heather Ford, Ryan Ford, Tiffany Seth, Jonathan Long and six great-grandsons. She has also been blessed with seven bonus great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Anna’s family would like to thank all of the loving nurses and CNA’s who cared for her, also the support from AseraCare. 

Memorials may be made in Lucy’s name to the A.N.N.A Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511. 

 A private interment will be held.
