Anna Komarow

Anna Lomtew Komarow age 85, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Fairview Manor.

She was born on February 12, 1931 in the Ukraine, a daughter of the late Alexis and Ecketrina Lomtew.

She was a homemaker most of her life and had been a seamstress many years ago. Anna loved to cook and fed everyone that came to her home. Her greatest joy was her family whom she loved dearly and would do anything for.

Anna and her husband Michael were especially grateful for the opportunity to come to America following WWII and were very proud to become U. S. citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Komarow in 1997.

She is survived by two daughters, Luba Leberer and her husband Jerome of Buffalo, NY, and Vera Freebourn and her husband Ron of Erie; two sons, Basil Komarow and his wife Laurie of Erie, and Michael Komarow of Lancaster, PA; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton West Lake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Avenue) on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Ron Freebourn officiating. Burial will be private in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
