ANN DEGNER O'CONNELL RICE

 
Ann Degner O'Connell Rice, age 83, of West 18th Street, passed away Friday April 5, 2013 at Golden Living Western Reserve.
    
She was born October 14, 1929 in Erie, Pa., to the late Earl E. and Marie Obert Degner.

Ann worked as a Nurse's Aid doing home health care for the Visiting Nurses Association for over 10 years.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her 2nd husband James H. Rice in 2011 and a daughter, Patricia A. O'Connell in 2002.

She is survived by six sons, Robert O'Connell and his wife Donna, David O'Connell, G. Michael O'Connell and his wife Robin, Stephen O'Connell, Richard O'Connell, and William O'Connell and his wife Charlene all of Erie. A brother Robert Degner of Erie, and eight grandchildren, Jessica, Shawn, John, Stephen, Kyle , Katie, Brandon and Ashley O'Connell also of Erie. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street, Erie, on Monday 3-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Shane L. Thompson, Chaplain of AseraCare, officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
