Ann Marie Dawson

Ann Marie Dawson age, 75, of Erie passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born in Erie on July 19, 1947 a daughter of the late Frank and Martha Bauer.

Ann graduated from Villa Maria Academy and the Hamot School of Nursing.

She went on to work as an RN at Hamot Hospital and retired from Pleasant Ridge Manor as the Head of Utilization Review.

Ann was a very caring person who was always helping others. She enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending winters in Florida and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Ann and her husband were very active members of the Sports Car Club of America.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Christopher Dawson and a sister in law, Susan Ostrom.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Edwin Dawson; a son, Sean Dawson and his wife Susie of Erie; three grandchildren, Zachary and Nathan Dawson and Joey Wright all of Erie; a sister, Kathleen Bauer; a brother, Frank Bauer and his wife Judy both of Erie; daughter in law, Lori Dawson of Erie; sister in law, Sylvia “Bunny” Dawson of Villages, Florida; brother in law, Jeff Dawson of Yarnell, AZ; nieces and nephews, Aaron Bauer, Caitlin Bauer both of Erie, Shelly Brown and her husband Tony and Ann Rateau and her husband Matt all of West Bend, WI; and her dear friend, Sister Stephanie. She will be further missed by her cat Tina Marie.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26^th Street on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. with Bishop Ron Johnson officiating.
