Ann Baylis Kramer, 94, of Erie, died Wed., Dec. 4, 2013 at Elmwood Gardens. Formerly of Titusville, PA and Industry, PA. She was born Nov. 30, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY daughter of the late George W. and Florence Armitage Baylis. A 1938 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, Mrs. Kramer was a nurse's aid and did private duty nursing.
She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and had been an active member of the former Bethany Lutheran Church where she was a member and past-president of LCW, a member of the Altar Guild and the Evangelism Committee, was Recorder of Rebecca Circle, and Key Woman for Church Women United. She was a member of Ladies Oriental Shrine Lotus Court No. 33 and Daughters of the Nile No. 140, and was a member and past-president of Mount Olivet Commandery, Erie Chapter. A very caring person, Ann volunteered in the Sewing Department of Shriners Hospital and was always concerned about people around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Kramer in 1997, her twin sister, Betty Stewart, and a brother, George C. Baylis.
Survivors include a son, Edward Kramer of Novi, MI; two daughters, Deborah Spinks and husband William of Erie and Shirley Kramer of Bloomsburg, PA; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a nephew.
Friends may call Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street. Funeral services will be held there Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brian D. Moran of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
