Angeline Hoderny

Angeline Hoderny, age 72, of Erie, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Erie, September 9, 1952, to the late Norbert and Katherine Zeranski Bargielski. Angeline graduated from East High School class of 1970. 

She was a lifelong resident of Erie, and was a devoted wife, mother, and especially grandma; she lived life to the fullest and dedicated her life to caring for her family. Everyone who knew her, was very blessed to have her in their lives. Angeline worked at East Erie Turners for 20 years, and Metzs at Erie Insurance for 20 years, she loved gardening, and rides around Presque Isle. 

She is survived by her husband Joseph Hoderny, who she shared her 54 year anniversary with on July 4th. Angeline is further survived by her daughter, Shannon Drzewiecki (Raymond), and her grandchildren, Joseph, Miranda, and Abigail. She is survived by her siblings in law, Janet Shorts, James Hoderny (Cathy), William Hoderny (Carol), and Steven Hoderny (Cathy). 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by Charles Bargielski (Cathy), Nancy Cornman (James), Mary Jane Bargielski, and Chester Hoderny. 

The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Hillman Cancer Center, UPMC, and Encompass Rehabilitation. 

Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 130 East 4th Street, Erie, with Fr. Michael DeMartinis officiating. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
