Andrew Schubert

Andrew J. Schubert, age 19, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Erie on August 22, 1997, a son of Shannon Jo Simmers Paul of Erie and David Ray Schubert, Sr. of Sharon.

Andrew graduated from Sharon High School and was employed by Rent One in Erie as a Certified Delivery Technician.

Andrew embraced the outdoors and found peace in activities that included motorcycling, fishing, and kayaking. He loved spending time with all his family and his friends, most notably his best friend Alyssa Reese and their son Thor.

Andrew was preceded in death by his Uncle, John Leroy Simmers, Jr.

Along with his parents he is survived by his step-father, Christopher Paul, the love of his life, Alyssa Reese, son, Thor James Schubert, brothers, David Ray Schubert, Jr., and Noah Schubert, great-grandmother, Doris Papsun, grandparents, Gloria Franklin, John Simmers, Sr., Helen Granger, and Fred Safford, many aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends.

Family and Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26^th Street, (at Powell Ave) Erie, PA 16506 on Sunday from 2:00  until 4:45 p.m. with the time of sharing at 4:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the Burton Westlake Funeral Home to begin an education fund for his son, Thor James Schubert.
