Andrew Winston Koehle, age 36, passed away on January 30, 2017 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie, PA on December 5, 1980 the son of Patricia McGhee Koehle and William Koehle. He was an organ donor.
Andrew was a graduate of Corona del Sol High School in Chandler AZ and the Erie Institute of Technology. He was most recently employed at Custom Engineering as a CNC Operator.
Andrew enlisted in the United States Air Force in January 2002 and served on Active Duty as an Air Transportation Journeyman for six years including tours in Yokota AFB Japan, Diego Garcia, Korea, and a tour in Iraq supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. He also deployed to Germany during his Reserve career. He left the service as a Senior Airman. He proudly upheld the family tradition of service as the fourth generation of citizens defending their country.
Surviving Andrew are his mother and father, step-mother Christine Koehle, sister Elspeth Koehle, brother Nathaniel Koehle (Jade), nephews Raleigh Koehle and Ari Phillips, nieces Kennedy and Ada Koehle, Maya Phillips, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends may call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, 728 West 9th Street for remembrances on Saturday February 4,2017 between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM with a short memorial service at 6:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gaudenzia Erie, 414 West 5th Street, Erie PA 16507.
