Andrew Dahlstrand

On Sunday, June 4, 2023, Andrew Stephen Dahlstrand, 60, of Erie, went to spend eternity in Heaven with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Andrew was born on July 24, 1962 to the late David and Anna Dahlstrand.

He graduated from McDowell High School in 1980, where he was an excellent skeet shooter. Throughout high school, he also went to Vo-Tech for tool & die. He also received his Act 120 certificate from Mercyhurst Northeast Municipal Police Academy in 2002, where he was awarded the President’s Award.

He was a hard-working tool & die maker, starting his career as a 16 year old. He worked for many tool & die companies and worked at General Electric his last 14 years.

Andrew loved hunting, nature, wildlife and animals, especially his cats and was an avid fan of westerns, specifically Gunsmoke. Andrew incorporated the best of our family, being witty, a prankster, and he would do anything for anyone because that was who he was.

Andrew was a loving father and grandfather to Jason (Kari) Dahlstrand, Jessica Dahlstrand, Emma, Faith and Luke Dahlstrand. He is survived by his girlfriend, Kelley Long of Ashtabula, OH; his brothers, Eric (Bill) Dahlstrand, David (Shelly) Dahlstrand; sisters, Karin Dahlstrand, and Chrissy (Tim) Figurski; one aunt, Joanne Dahlstrand and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be truly missed by so many.
