Amy Schuring

January 4, 1963 — August 12, 2017

     Amy J. Nicholson Schuring, 54, formerly of Butler, Pa., died on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at her home in Millcreek Township, Pa.  She was born on January 4, 1963, in Pittsburgh, Pa., daughter of the late William T. Nicholson and the late Oma Berresford Nicholson Finotti.
     A 1980 graduate of North Allegheny High School, she worked as a waitress in the Elwood City area for several years.  Amy was an avid reader, loved watching her television news programs, enjoyed following Pittsburgh sports teams, loved her dogs, and was absolutely devoted to her family.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Scott and Norman Nicholson.
     Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Graffius and husband John and Jessica Lynn Schuring, all of Millcreek Twp., Pa.; her stepmother, Gloria Nicholson of Slippery Rock, Pa.; two sisters, Janet A. Mountain and husband James of McCandless Twp., Pa. and Linda A. Daniels of Lower Burrell, Pa.; two grandchildren, Grace E. and Ella R. Graffius of Erie; and several nieces and nephews.
     A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Faith Chapel at Luther Memorial Church, 225 West 10th Street, Erie, Pa., Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11 a.m.  The Rev. Kristen Papson will officiate.
