Allan Neal Stewart, age 65 of Wattsburg, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Cambridge Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Erie, February 21, 1947 a son of the late Eugenia Skelly Weber and Paul Russell Stewart.
Allan served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Wilkinson, and was a locomotive assembler for 35 years at General Electric Company.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a story and joke teller.
Allan loved the woods. He wanted to retire from G.E. and spend the rest of his life at his "camp".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Paul Stewart.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Evans Stewart, four sons: Joseph Stewart and Allan Stewart, Jr. both of Erie; Paul Russell Stewart, and Charles Allan Stewart of Waterford and his son Charles Sherman; a daughter Mary Ann Spires (husband Michael) and their three children, Izabelle, Michael and Paul of Cambridge Springs; two sisters: Paulette Sullivan and Mary Guianen, a brother Michael Stewart, his stepbrother Larry Skelly (wife Connie); and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday February 2nd with a memorial service to begin at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend David Edmunds officiating.
