Alicia Elizabeth Shaffer Stalheim, age 25 of Wattsburg, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018. She was born in Erie, PA on May 16, 1993, the daughter of James R. Shaffer and Mary L. Banister Shaffer.
Alicia’s witty sarcasm, along with her compassion for all things, made her one-of-a-kind. There was a selflessness about her and she was always willing to help others, no matter what. Her two children were her greatest treasures, and she enjoyed nothing more than spending quality time with family and friends.
Alicia is a 2012 graduate of Seneca High School. She spent the last nine summers as a “hot walker” at Presque Isle Downs. Most recently she took on the title as General Manager at Pizza Hut. She was proud of this accomplishment and they considered her one of their most valuable assets. She always took great pride in her work, regardless of the task.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Presley A. Shaffer, II and cousins, Jenna C. Walker and infant John M. Banister.
Alicia is survived by her husband, Kyle and children, Allison and Bryson, her mother, Mary L. Banister Shaffer (Mark Hopson), all of Wattsburg, her father, James R. Shaffer (Susan), of McKean, her brothers, Garrett, Casey and half-brother, Ethan Shaffer. Alicia is also survived by her step-sisters, Kayla Majchrzak (Greg), Courtney Hopson (Ty Sheehan), Amanda Morley and step-brother, Aaron Morley; sister-in-law, Katelynn Rogers (Daniel), brother-in-law, Zachary Stalheim: her maternal grandparents, Jack and Rose Marie Banister, paternal grandparents, Donald and Vanda Stossmeister; mother-in-law, Donna (Herm) Moats, father-in-law, Kenton Stalheim; her niece, Alexa and nephew, Cohen. Alicia leaves and will be cherished in memory by several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and beloved pets.
Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Rd. Erie, PA 16510 on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Monday, December 3rd at 10 a.m., with Father Jason Feigh presiding. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, West Road, McKean, PA.
