Alice S. Nason, age 99 of Millcreek, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at UPMC Hamot, two days short of her 100th birthday.
Born October 23, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Florence Edwards Struchen.
She was a graduate of Fairview High School and attended Erie Business College.
She was a homemaker, a former member of St. James Lutheran Church in Fairview, and a Sunday school teacher. Alice enjoyed traveling throughout the country, square dancing, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Nason; three sisters, Adela Fox, Cora Renaud, Ester Pihl; brother, Earl Struchen; daughter in law, Paula Nason.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Nason Cornell (Arthur) of Beaver, PA; son, Arden Nason of Erie; two grandchildren, Laurie Cornell of Emporia, VA and Alan Cornell (Colleen) of Beaver, PA; two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Kayla Cornell of Beaver, PA.
She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) Erie, PA 16506 on Friday from 11:00a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Robert Lewis officiating. Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
