Alex Karlock, age 91 of Waterford, PA, died Sunday April 13, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Richeyville, PA on February 19, 1923, a son of the late John and Bertha Karlock.
Mr. Karlock graduated from Centerville High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, flying as a C47 cargo pilot in China, India and Burma. He attained the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
He was a carpenter, and a member of Union Carpenters Local #81.
Mr. Karlock was a great sportsman and enjoyed hunting, shooting and fishing. He was also an avid gardener.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Dekteroff Karlock in 1995, and his son Alex George Karlock, who died in 2000.
Survivors include his daughter-in-law Charleen Karlock, a grandson Steve Karlock, and close family friend, David Curry.
