Alberto B. Rivera, 43, died October 2, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born December 2, 1971 in Rochester, New York to Felix Rivera Sr. and the late Carmen Z. Marrero.
Alberto graduated from Edison Technical and Occupational Center in Rochester, New York and later obtained an Associates of Science Degree in Photography from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He worked as an Assistant Manager for the Hobby Lobby Arts & Craft Stores in Erie, Pennsylvania. In his free time, he volunteered for the St. Andrew’s Athletic Association and the Erie Lady Lions Hockey Association. He loved to play board games and was an avid fan of the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.
Alberto is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Kathryn and his daughter Allie. He is further survived by his father Felix Sr., two brothers Felix Jr. (Jennifer) and Brandon, A brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Loretta Kirkwood and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Aramis and his daughter, Zoey.
Friends may call at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 1116 West 7th Street, Erie, PA 16502 on Sunday from 4 until 6pm and on Monday from 10am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Shriners Hospital for Children. Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502
