Alberto Bucci Sr.

Alberto Bucci, Sr., age 71, passed away December 27, 2022.  Born in Roccasicura, Italy on October 18, 1951, he was the second born son of the late Domenico and Marietta Bucci.

Alberto came to this country in 1966 and worked as a baker for 16 years at International Bakery.  He also did concrete work for many years for many different contractors.   In 1974, Alberto became the first pizza delivery man in the city of Erie for the Montagna family, who owned Little Italy Pizza Shop.  He finished his interesting career in the core room of the EMI Foundry, retiring after 11 years of service.   A very truly hard-working man.

He enjoyed Steelers football, his kids’ little league baseball, hunting deer and pheasants, gardening, tinkering with all sorts of projects, wine making, sausage making, but most importantly, sharing time and meals with family and friends.   He will be truly missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Bucci, three brothers, Luciano Bucci, Joseph Bucci, and Pasquale Bucci.  He is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Bucci, three sons: Alberto Bucci Jr. and wife Melissa, Michael Anthony Bucci and wife Becky, and Luciano Pietro Bucci, all of Erie, three brothers: Antonia Bucci and wife Beth, Vincent Bucci and wife Lara, Fernando Bucci and wife Dina, and one sister Maria Bebko and husband James, all of Erie, nine grandchildren, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on the family on Friday December 30^th from 10am until the time of the service at 12pm at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. West Ridge, 3801 West 26^th St.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
