Albert Strain

Albert (Ike) Strain, age 77, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the VA Medical Center.

He was born in Franklin PA, on January 5, 1946, a son of the late Gordon and Bessie Moon Strain.

Ike was a graduate of Oil City High School and was employed at Zurn Energy as a machinist.

He loved to travel, especially on his Harley Davidson haven ridden over 100,000 miles across the county. He also enjoyed hunting and golfing.

In addition to his parents, Ike was predeceased by his brothers, Gordon, Jack, Lee, Bill Strain and his sister Eva Strawbridge, his step-daughter Kerri Matelski, nephew Scott Strain and great nephews Jacob Strain, Milton Strain, and Steve Strawbridge.

He is survived by his wife Mariann McIntyre Strain and his children Michael Strain (Wendy), Trish Rote (fiancé Daniel Corsale), and Christine Haas. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Kathleen Reilly, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
