Akao Thompson

Akao Taree-Anthony “Bubba” Thompson, age 30, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at his residence.  

Akao was born on March 25, 1991, a son to Ebony Henderson and Mark Thompson. 

Akao graduated from East High School. Bubba loved music, driving around, and playing pool. He loved his family and friends. Akao made everyone around him feel loved. He always cracked jokes, being goofy, making everyone laugh, and he loved his children dearly. 

He preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward L. Coleman; great aunt, Brenda Joyce Crisco; and grandmother, Sandra Thompson.  

Akao will forever be missed by his fiancé, Jessica Amann; his children, Edwin (13), Da’mya (9), Akao Jr. (8), Journee (3), and Kai (1); mother, Ebony Landingham; stepfather, Jimmie Landingham; grandmother, Rose “Ma” Coleman; grandfather, Chris Williams; brother, Dante Thompson; two sisters, Terrina Thompson and Sarah Amann; nephew, Dante “DD” Thompson Jr.,  his favorite uncle, Andre Knight; uncles, Shon (Yvette) and Kori , and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that loved him.  

Friends are invited to call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie 16510 on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of service at noon with Pastor Patrick Lyons officiating. Akao will be laid to rest in Erie Cemetery.
