Adell Moyer

Evangelist Adell Moyer, age 91, of Erie, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Western Reserve Healthcare and Rehab Center.  She was born in Waynesboro, MS, on October 3, 1926, the youngest child of the late L.O. Roberts and Ada Pacley.

Adell was a resident of Erie for over 60 years.  She was employed by Mrs. Sherman and Drs. Treadway and Wells and prior to retirement was employed as an aid at the St. Martin Day Care Center. 

Adell was a long time member of the Erie First Born Apostolic Faith Church of God where she was the superintendent of the Sunday school, president of the Missionaries and on August 21, 1997, she received her Ministerial Credentials for the office of an Ordained Evangelist.   She was committed to the work of the Lord and she had an active prayer life and prayer line.   Adell was devoted to her family and church always. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Moyer and all her siblings.

She is survived by her children:  Emery Moyer, Donald Moyer, Billie Moye, Gary (Joan) Moye, Larry Moyer, Suzanne (Jerry) Moyer-Lawrence, and Renita (Fred) Davis.  Adell is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 W. 10^th St., Erie, PA 16502 on Sunday, November 26^th from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., and are invited to call on the family at Erie First Born Apostolic Faith Church of God, 1221 East 19^th St. Erie, PA 16503 on Monday, November 27^th from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. with Bishop Clint Roberts presiding. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
