Adam (Skip) Fiorenzo
Adam (Skip) Fiorenzo, age 59, of Erie passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at home from natural causes. He was born October 2, 1954 in Erie the son of Adam (Adelmo) Fiorenzo and the late Kathleen Krahe Fiorenzo.
Skip was a 1972 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and had attended the Columbus School of Broadcasting. In the 1970’s he worked as a radio disc jockey using the on air name of Chris Adams or Chris Anthony. For the past 32 years, Skip worked as a sales representative with Glenwood Beer having helped local clubs and organizations provide refreshments for their many functions and events.
He was a former member of the Mercyhurst Prep Boosters club and loved to follow horseracing NASCAR, and was extremely proud to be a lifelong Dallas Cowsboys football fan.
Besides his father Adam (Adelmo) of Erie, Skip is survived by his wife, Mary Mentley Fiorenzo and a son, Anthony V. Fiorenzo and his girlfriend, Kylie Kirsch of Nashville, TN. He is the brother of Jack Fiorenzo and his wife Jennifer of Cranberry Twp., PA; Tom Fiorenzo and his wife Margaret of Fayetteville, GA; Tim Fiorenzo and his wife Josette of Erie, and Rob Fiorenzo of Erie. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Skip will be remembered for always having a smile to share and good things to say about everyone he knew. He will be missed by so many close friends, co-workers, and especially his family.
Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. Sunday from 1-5 & 7-9 PM and are invited to attend Prayer Services there Monday at 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass Monday at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Adam’s memory to the Erie Community Foundation, 459 West 6th St., Erie, PA 16507.
