Adam Davis

Adam Jake Davis, age 39, lost his battle with PTSD, on Monday, September 27, 2021 at his residence in New Hampshire.

He was born on May 20, 1982 in Erie, PA, a son to Sandra Herrmann Steinheiser of Albion and the late Loren "Jake" Davis.

Adam graduated from Northwestern High School in 2000. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corp.  Adam served in Operation; Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Nightwatch. Adam spent his first two years of service in F.A.S.T. Company (Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team) and his remainting time in service with 7th Marines. He spent more time overseas than stateside, earning enough medals and ribbons to make Chesty Puller proud before his honorable discharge as a Sergeant. 

Adam had the absolute best sense of humor and witty comebacks. He was a truth seeker always looking for the next life adventure. Most recently he spent a summer sailing the Aegean Sea and spent time in Greece. Adam was always the first person to offer help to someone in need and never expected anything in return. He was the absolute best gift giver, everything he gave had meaning, purpose and was with thoughtful intention. He found true joy in the happiness of those he loved and always tried to bring a smile to someone’s face. Adam loved riding horses, the Steelers and building elaborate computers. He had a thirst for knowledge ranging from the smallest cell to the largest star. 

In addition to his father, Adam is preceded in death by his brothers Marty and Ryan Thompson whom he looked up to and missed tremendously. 

Adam is survived by his mom and step father; Sandy and Rod Steinheiser, his sister and brother in law; Holly and Ryan Palmer, a very special nephew who Adam loved like his own; Kyle Davis, his two favorite nieces; Meghan (his cuckoo) and Lauren (his Kiki) Palmer, his Uncle Sonny Cline whom held a special place in Adam’s heart and many, many loving aunts, uncles and very close cousins. Adam also leaves behind his step siblings; Mike and Beth Steinheiser, Jacie Steinheiser and Gayle and Darrick Gollmer in addition to all of their beautiful children. 

Adam will be so greatly missed by those who love him. There sure is a whole lot of us! His gregarious nature and larger than life personality can never be forgotten. The large void he has left in our hearts is evidence of the love he gave to those around him.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, in Girard on Sunday from 3:00pm-6:00pm and are invited to a service there, on Monday at 11:00am with Pastor Debbie Rimmer officiating.

Burial to follow at Springfield Cemetery with full military honors.
